The program for the October 4. SCARC meeting will be “Preparedness by Emergency Communication Volunteers,” to be presented by Clint Miller. Miller, the club’s Communications Manager, will cover the steps that “emcomm” volunteers should take to be ready to respond quickly and be fully prepared to handle their assignment.
He will provide examples of “Go Kits”--radio equipment ready to be transported and quickly establish communications.

The Thursday meeting is scheduled to begin at 7:30 pm, at the 4-H building on the southwest corner of 13th Street and Stange Road on the Iowa State campus (accessed from Wanda Daley Road). All licensed and prospective amateur radio operators are welcome to attend without charge.
