Farewell Reception This Week For Outgoing Ames Mayor, Councilman
Mayo Ann Sullivan is retiring and City Councilman Peter Orazem is stepping down to study abroad.

AMES, IA — A thank-you reception for outgoing Ames Mayor Ann Campbell and outgoing City Councilman Peter Orazem will be held this week at the Ames Public Library.
Campbell is retiring after 27 years in city government while Orazem, who received a Fulbright scholarship, is leaving to study in Slovenia beginning next year, the Ames Tribune reported.
Orazem joined the City Council in 2010; Campbell has been mayor since 2006 and was a councilwoman for 16 years prior.

The reception for the pair will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 15, in the Farwell T. Brown Auditorium of the Ames Public Library, 515 Douglas Ave. A brief program will begin at 4:30 p.m.
