Precinct-by-Precinct Recap of Ames Vote in Presidential Election 2012

With nearly every precinct reporting, President Barack Obama took Iowa on Tuesday. How did Ames vote?

President Barack Obama took Iowa on Tuesday with about 51.9 percent of the vote, but received a greater percentage of the vote in Ames precincts, according to unofficial returns from the Iowa Secretary of State and Story County Auditor's Office.

The current statewide tally was 810,739 for Obama and 724,609 for Republican Candidate Mitt Romney.

In Ames, Obama received 60 percent of the vote to Romney's near 37 percent. Find a table broken down by Ames precinct below. The totals include absentee or early ballots for each location.

In Story County, Obama received 55.5 percent of the vote to Romney's 41.8 percent.
