Iowa State University Emergency Alert Warns Students of Man Carrying Branch
Ames police began their search for Joshua Don Daniels when he didn't come back to the Curt Forbes Residential facility.

Some Iowa State University students were awakened early Tuesday by the university's emergency alert system which advised them about a man seen walking into Pammel Woods carrying a big stick.
Ames Police have been searching for that man, Joshua Don Daniels, who is a resident of the Curt Forbes Residential Facility. Daniels was reported missing Tuesday.
The ISU Alert system sent a message out about 4:24 a.m., according to the Iowa State Daily.

The Ames Tribune reported that Daniels is serving time at the facility for a third-degree burglary charge out of Boone County.
