ISU Cyclones' Georges Niang is Big 12 Rookie of the Week

Iowa State University Cyclones Basketball Player Georges Niang was named Big 12 Rookie of the Week recently.

Iowa State University Cyclones Basketball Player Georges Niang won the Big 12 Rookie of the Week title after doing well in the team's first two conference games averaging 15.5 points per game, according to the Iowa State Daily.

Niang is one of the better rookie freshman playing college basketball though he isn't very athletic, according to FOX News.

"It's going to be difficult for any 6-foot-9, 6-foot-10 slow guy to hold Georges because he can shoot the ball from the outside," Will Clyburn, Iowa State's leading scorer, told FOX News. "You can see in the games that the bigger players are having trouble guarding him and the smaller players are having trouble guarding him the same way."
