ISU Is Headed to the Liberty Bowl; ISU Alumni Association is Travel Ready
ISU Cyclones learned Sunday they would head to Memphis Dec. 31 to play Tulsa in the Liberty Bowl and the ISU Alumni Association has already assembled travel packages.

Iowa State University Cyclones leaned early Sunday evening that they would play in the Liberty Bowl in Memphis against Tulsa Dec. 31.
It will be the team's third bowl appearence in four years. The team had been to the Liberty Bowl about 40 years ago, according to a press release from the Athletics Department.
"Our football team is extremely enthusiastic about the opportunity to play in one of college football's most historic bowl games," Coach Paul Rhoads said according to the prepared statement.

"We are honored to represent the Big 12 and participate in a bowl with the outstanding reputation of the AutoZone Liberty Bowl. I am excited that our fans can drive to the site, support our team and enjoy the festivities. Memphis will be colored Cardinal and Gold for the New Year!"
Tickets are already available for purchase, but seating will be determined at a later date. Priority seating would be given to club members and then season ticket holders and the general public. Tickets are $55. Students can buy tickets for $25.

Both the The Iowa State Alumni Association and The Cyclone Gridiron Club will sponsor bowl travel packages.
The Alumni Association bowl plans are $1,444 by air and $704 by land and include a three night stay and game tickets in the ISU section.
Gridiron Club packages will not include tickets and package details have yet to be released.
