An Iowa State University football player was removed from the team after he was charged with possession of marijuana last week, according to reports.
The Ames Tribune reported that Willie Scott, 21, was cited by Iowa State University police last week after they found marijuana in his car.
Scott was driving at 9 p.m. without his headlights on, the article said.
