An Iowa State University professor wrote in a recent blog that the University shouldn't raise funds for the United Way.

Warren Blumenfeld said Iowa State University and many others have spent a large amount of time and energy raising funds to promote and collect money for the United Way, because the organization assists many worthwhile groups.
