Connections: The Homestead Act to Pioneer Life

2 p.m. Sunday, Meeker School. Pam Riney-Kehrberg presents at the one-room Hoggatt Schoolhouse Museum. It's open 2 to 4 p.m. Sundays.

Live Music at Prairie Moon

3 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Prairie Moon Winery & Vineyards, 3801 West 190th Street in Ames. Shifting Gears Band will perform. Admittance is $3.

7 p.m. Sunday at Calvary United Methodist Church, 1403 24th Street. The Amouraires free concert is open to anyone. The quartet recently received 2012 Mid-Western group of the year award.
