Man Injured in Grain Bin Collapse
A crane was used to rescue a man from a collapsed grain bin.

A 23-year-old man working to construct a new grain storage bin in Slater was injured about 6 p.m. Tuesday when the bin's roof collapsed, according to a report from the Story County Sheriff's Office.
Segoviano Israel Rodriguez, of Storm Lake, Iowa was pinned by debris. A crane was used to lift the roof structure allowing Slater and Huxley Fire and Rescue crews to safely remove Rodriguez from the collapsed structure. Mercy One air ambulance transported Rodriguez with possible neck and back injuries to Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. Â
