Man Injured in Story County Snowmobile Accident
The DNR reports that a Madrid man was injured Thursday when his snowmobile tipped over.

SLATER – A Madrid man was injured Thursday afternoon when the snowmobile he was operating tipped over near Slater.
Michael Hassebrock, 51, was riding his snowmobile on a trail about 3:30 p.m. Thursday, when he made a 90-degree turn into a ditch and the snowmobile flipped, according to a release from the Iowa Department of Natural Resources.
Hassebrock's chest was injured in the accident and he was taken to the Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames. Hassebrock was listed in fair condition Friday morning.

He was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident, according to the release.
