UPDATED: Body Found in Creek Might Be Missing Jewell Man Last Seen in Ames

The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office believes the body of the missing Jewell man has been found in a creek, according to a report from the Ames Tribune.
Kenneth Heckman was last seen on a yellow backhoe in Ames. An area farmer saw the back hoe near Kamrar in a wooded area on Monday evening. A body was found in a creek, a short distance from the tractor, according to the Ames Tribune.

A Jewell man who has been missing since last week, was last seen in Ames, according to an associated press report.
Kenneth Heckman turned 46 on Thursday and never arrived at a planned birthday party, according to an article in the Waterloo Courier. He was last seen in Ames about 6 a.m. Thursday on a yellow New Holland backhoe.
He was wearing a red or white T-shirt and blue jeans, according to the missing person's database. Authorities did find Heckman's pickup and his dog waiting in a farm field, according to the report.
