NBA's Royce White On Dr. Phil Uncensored
White tells critics he knows understanding of his disorder is low.

Royce White of the Iowa State Cyclones and NBA Houston Rockets basketball teams was interviewed on the Dr. Phil show recently.
White and two other women with anxiety disorders taped a segment for Phil McGraw's show that aired Thursday.
In a clip on Dr. Phil's uncensored blog McGraw asked White what he would say to critics and fans who say that White should not have signed up to play for the NBA when he knew that he had an anxiety disorder.

White said: “I understand that the awareness is low and the stigma is very real and very detrimental and people like you and other people that I work with and our efforts to bring the awareness hopefully that will change over the years and we'll have a better understanding ...”
White, who played for the Iowa State men's basketball team in 2011-12 was the 16th draft pick last June, however he had disagreements with the Rockets over how to manage his anxiety disorder, which is exacerbated by flying.

They eventually came to an agreement and he was assigned to their developmental league team, the Rio Grande Valley Vipers.
