New Animal Control Head Comes from California

The City of Ames announced Tuesday that Ron Edwards, of Lakewood, Calif., will become the city's new animal control supervisor at the City of Ames Animal Shelter.

Edwards' first day is Aug. 26. He replaces Lorna Lavender who has worked for the city for the last three decades. 

Edwards past jobs were in Irvine, Los Angeles County and Long Beach California.
