On The Agenda: Hearing on Roosevelt Elementary School Sale
A local developer has offered $25,000 for the former school built in 1923.

The Ames School Board plans to hold a public hearing on the sale of the former Roosevelt Elementary to a local developer Dean Jensen during the regular Ames Community School District Board meeting Monday.
Jensen, of Real Estate Service Group, offered the highest of two bids for the shuttered elementary building in February and the school board plans to decide whether to accept the sale after the hearing.
Jensen has said that he planned to turn the former elementary school listed on the National Register of Historic Places into condominiums.Â
