Palo and Cruise Sex Abuse Trials Combined
Sex Abuse Trial of ISU Basketball star Palo and Spencer Cruise combined and set for December.
The trials of two young men, one an Iowa State University basketball player, will be combined a judge has ruled.
Former Iowa State University Basketball Player Bubu Palo, 21, and Spencer Cruise, 22, were both charged with second-degree sex abuse, a Class B felony, this fall. The cases against the men have been combined and a jury trial is preliminary set for Dec. 11.
Palo and Cruise, turned themselves in to authorities Sept. 7.

According to complaints, Cruise and Palo offered a woman home on May 18 and took her to an Oakland Drive home, owned by Cruise's family, where they allegedly sexually assaulted her.
Ames Police Sgt. Rory Echer has said that the woman reported the assault that same morning. Search warrants were obtained to collect DNA evidence and charges were filed against the men after the Division of Criminal Investigations lab returned DNA results.

Both men have pleaded not guilty to the charges.
