Party Complaint Leads to Drug Arrest: Ames Police Blotter
Ames Police Blotter Jan. 5 to Jan. 7.

Ryan Morrow, 19, of Gilbert, was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to deliver and sponsoring a gathering where controlled substances are used after someone complained about a loud party in an apartment complex at Maricopa Drive, according to criminal complaints.
When police arrived they heard loud music and yelling and could detect the smell of both burnt and raw marijuana coming from the apartment when the resident responded, according to complaints. Open cans of beer were seen as well, complaints said.
Officers also found marijuana in a jar inside the unit, along with a glass bong, rolling papers and a scale, complaints said. More than 33 grams of marijuana was seized and Morrow told police it was his, according to complaints.
