Kohl's and T.J. Maxx were expected to open Sunday bringing new traffic to North Grand Mall.

The first new stores to open as part of the redevelopment of the North Grand Mall were sceduled to welcome shoppers Sunday.

T.J. Maxx which opens into the Mall and has a separate entrance from the parking lot opened Sunday along with a department store anchor Kohl's.

Other new stores in the mall include Justice and Rue 21. All of those shops and Shoe Carnival will participate in a grand opening event on Thursday.
