Police Blotter: Domestic Assault With Injury

Sarah Bartholow, 21, Lincoln Way, was charged with domestic abuse assault causing bodily injury last week after fighting with her girlfriend, according to complaints.

Police went to Bartholow's home early Feb. 11 after dispatchers received a 911 hangup call and when they arrived Bartholow's girlfriend said that her girlfriend grabbed the back of her neck and held her to a bed and had scratched her, complaints said. The woman had marks on her neck and scratches but Bartholow had no marks, complaints said. Bartholow said she was strangled and punched and did nothing to fight back but changed her story when police confronted her about the marks, according to complaints.
