Police: Man Uses Large Knife During Fight

A Texas man could face two years in prison for using a large knife during an argument.

A 56-year-old Texas man was charged with assault while displaying a weapon July 24 for attacking a man with a knife according to complaints.

Jose A. Quinones-Delafuente, 56, Mission, TX., got into a argument with another man about 1 a.m. at a hotel in the 200 block of South Duff Avenue, complaints said. During the fight, Quinones-Delafuente came at the other man with a large knife and cut him on the arm, complaints said.

Quinones-Delafuente was charged with assault while displaying a weapon, an aggravated misdemeanor, punishable by up to two years in prison. Quinones-Delafuente was listed as an inmate at the Story County Jail Monday. He was being held on a $2,000 bond.
