Road Closed: Water Main Break Closes 20th Street at Grand

A water main break at the intersection of Grand Avenue and 20^th Street has shut down the intersection to eastbound and westbound traffic.

Travel on Grand Avenue has been reduced to one lane and 20^th Street is closed in both directions. North and south traffic on Grand Avenue will funnel to one lane in each direction from 24th Street to 16th Street.

This could affect travel to Meeker and Fellows elementary schools and Ames High School.

The repair is expected to take most of the day.
