SCUBA Class

The Ames Parks and Recreation Department is now taking registrations for its Scuba Diving 
Class held at Municipal Pool.  Classes will be held Tuesdays, September 17 – October 28, 
7:00 – 10:30 PM.  The Non-resident fee is $255 and the resident discounted fee is $240. 
Additional Fees do apply (Equipment is $100-$200; Book is $50, and open water dive is
approximately $200).  The course is open to ages 12 through adult (under 15 may participate
if a parent is registered).  Participants ages 15 and up successfully completing the course will 
receive a non-expiring open water scuba certification.  Those 12-14 can receive a Jr. Scuba 
Certification.  College credit is available for this class.  Jerry Symons, PADI Certified Instructor,
