Sen. Tom Harkin Gives Papers to Drake

Harkin, who will retire from the U.S. Senate, now plans to donate his papers to Drake after fallout with Iowa State University.

Sen. Tom Harkin announced last week that he would donate his papers to Drake University and that a research Institute named for him at Iowa State University would also move to the Des Moines university, according to an article in the Gazette.

He originally planned to donate his papers to Iowa State University where a research institute had been named in his honor. However his name has since been removed and he will no longer donate his papers after a fallout with Iowa State earlier this year.
