Shag T-Shirts Opens in North Grand Mall
A Des Moines businessman opened a new clothing store in the Ames mall. It's his first store outside of Des Moines.
A hippy gift store, Shag T-Shirts and More opened in North Grand Mall Aug. 3.
The gift shop can be found across from The Buckle and is owner Robert Welborn's first store outside of Des Moines.
“Our target audience is 15-to 30-year-olds so I scouted areas with that criteria in mind. North Grand Mall offers the right environment in which retailers such as myself can test a market, tap the demographics and gain wide exposure," Welborn said in a prepared statement.

Those who like tie-dyed clothing will find a selection of t-shirts and hooded sweatshirts to choose from. Handbags, backpacks, posters, summer dresses, skirts and jewelry are also available.
