Steve King Suggests Obama Drink Beer With Rodeo Clown

King told Obama to invite the now infamous rodeo clown to a beer summit, reports say.

Iowa Congressman Steve King suggested that President Barack Obama have a beer summit with a rodeo clown, who dressed as him during a recent performance at the Missouri State Fair.

“Mr. President: Invite the rodeo clown 2 the White House 4 a beer summit. Take the temperature down, have a laugh, relax. It's not about race,” King tweeted, according to a report on the Huffington Post.

The clown wore a mask of the president at the start of a bull riding event and an announcer asked if the audience would like to see Obama run down by a bull, according to a report on Politico.

While some members of the audience cheered. Some spectators said they were sickened by the display, Politico reported.

“This isn’t the Republican Missouri State Fair,” Perry Beam told Politico. “It was cruel. It was disturbing. I’m still sick to my stomach over it. … I’m standing here with a mixed-race family. My wife’s from Taiwan, and so was the student [his family was hosting]. I’ve never seen anything so blatantly racist in my life.

“If an old country boy picks up on something like that, imagine what a person of color would think.”
