Teen Flown to Des Moines Hospital After Fall As VEISHEA Underway

A 19-year-old was found unconscious in a Stanton Avenue alley about 10 p.m. Saturday.

A 19-year-old man fell from a five-foot retaining wall at 207 Stanton Ave. about 10 p.m. Saturday and had to be flown to a Des Moines hospital.

Police said that the teen suffered a head injury and was unconscious, according to a release.

Ames Police CMDR. Geoff Huff told the Ames Tribune that the man had a pulse.

He fell onto the concrete in an alley between Chamberlain and Stanton Avenues while running or tripped and fell, according to the article.
