Weather Closings: Ames Schools Canceled Due to Weather

Winter Storm Magnus brought enough blowing snow that The Ames Community School District has canceled all classes and activities for Wednesday.

Classes are also canceled at St. Cecilia Elementary School and Ames Christian Schools.

Gilbert Schools and DMACC's Boone Campus have also canceled classes Wednesday.

Cyride buses are running, but may be behind schedule.

Wellness in the Ames Workforce has been rescheduled for 4 p.m. Tuesday Feb. 5, at Mary Greeley Medical Center's Bessie Myers Auditorium. David Lind, The Capital Crossroads 2012 Wellness & Community Study researcher, planned to reveal the results of a state-wide collaborative wellness and community survey completed by 900 employers.
