Outdoor Dining

The Chocolaterie Stam has a new outdoor space outside the back door, though it may be too cold to use it on Black Friday.

New Shops

The Tangerine Zebra, 219 Main Street, has moved into the former photography studio that once was Merle Norman Cosmetic Studio for several years. The shop is an eclectic mix of antiques, think the best of “American Pickers.” The shop opened three months ago.

B. Belle is just a few doors down from the Tangerine Zebra. The women's boutique clothing store opened in June. Design on Main, a satellite facility for ISU Design classes and exhibits, is right next door. It opened in September. And Artisan Peace Stores, 136 Main Street opened on the south side of Main Street in May. It sells arts, crafts and more.

New Faces

And finally there are many new facades on Main Street. The building that houses Sportsman Lounge is undergoing the final stages of its renovations. The building includes new retail space east of the lounge. A former bar east of Deano's also has a new face as does Moorman Clothiers. Both the Stam and Duck Worth Wearing received updated facades due in part to $100,000 grant from the Iowa Downtown Resource Center.
