What's Open and What's Closed on Veterans Day in Ames?

Veterans Day is Sunday. For most, observations will be on Monday, Nov. 12.

The city of Ames is observing Veterans Day on Monday. Departments and divisions will be closed on Monday, Nov. 12 in recognition of Veterans Day. The City Assessor’s Office will also be closed.

These places will remain open:

• The Community Center, located in City Hall, will be open regular hours.
• CyRide buses will run a regular weekday schedule.
• The Ames Public Library, 515 Douglas Ave., will maintain regular hours.

The Story County Clerk of Court Office and the District Associate Court, located in Ames City Hall, also will be closed, according to a news release from the city of Ames.

Ames schools will not be closed on Monday, except Northwood, which has no classes all week.
