Where is Your 2012 Income Tax Refund
Use IRS.Gov's "Where's My Refund" to see when you will receive your tax refund this year and where to seek filing help in Ames.

The Internal Revenue Service pushed back the filing date by eights days, Jan. 30.

The tax filing deadline is Monday, April 15, 2013. And those who have filed already can check the status at IRS.Gov 24 hours after filing online or four weeks after filing through the mail. You will need, your social security number, filing status and refund amount.

You might also be able to find free help from Iowa State University accounting students who will be offering free tax preparation services through the IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program for anyone who earned less than $51,000 in 2012.
Tax help will be provided in 2148 Gerdin Business Building on the Iowa State University campus from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Tuesdays, and from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesdays and Thursdays through Thursday, April 11, except for the week of March 18-22 when students at Iowa State are on spring break.
