Winter Storm Rocky Weather Closings

An unexpected heavy wet snow has hit Ames and local and area school districts will dismiss early.

Northwood Preschool Center will have no classes this afternoon.

Ames elementary schools are dismissing at 12:30 p.m.

Ames Middle School is closing at 1:15 p.m. 

and Ames High School will dismiss at 1 p.m.

There will be no evening activities.

Gilbert Community Schools are also dismissing. High School and middle school will dismiss at 12:30 p.m. Elementary school will dismiss at 12:40 p.m.

Mary Greeley Medical Center has canceled the Children’s Immunization Clinic at Homeward scheduled for 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. Call Homeward at 239-6730 for more information.

Ames Community School District's Insurance Committee meeting scheduled for Wednesday has been canceled.

Kindergarten registration scheduled from 9 to noon, Wednesday, Feb. 27 has been cancelled and rescheduled for 9 to noon, Wednesday, March 6.
