Ankeny Market Pavilion Raises $600,000

A donation from Northwest bank pushed the fundraising total to nearly $600,000.

Northwest Bank will donate $15,000 to Ankeny's Market & Pavilion project.

Project organizers plan to construct two pavilions, a restroom facility, entryway features and related park amenities that will serve as home for the Ankeny Farmer's Market and as a regional trailhead for the Central Iowa Trails Network.

A $1.5 million fundraising goal has been set for the project. Almost $600,000 has been raised to date.

The Project is being led by the Ankeny Rotary Club, Chamber of Commerce, Uptown Association and the City of Ankeny.

The Pavilion's steering committee plans to secure the rest of the money needed to for the final design and construction of the project in the next six months.
