Why do you believe the teacher should be recognized or honored?

I believe that Miss Donovan should be recognized for all the compassion, caring, and respect that she puts in daily for her students and their parents. She has the skill set to teach special education but the “love” she carries daily into the classroom. She also is a co-teacher that works very well with other teachers. Miss Donovan has excellent communication skills that are used daily with parent communication, teachers, and the AEA staff. I hear from administrators, other teachers, and parents what an excellent teacher she is and how fortunate the district is to have her serve the students. She deserves this recognition with the skill set, dedication of time she puts into her job, and the everlasting loyalty that is shared daily.

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the teacher?

Miss Donovan brings to her students the sunshine and advocacy that special education students so deserve. She treats the students with whole hearted respect and care. Her students make great progress because of her teaching style, but also because she demonstrates that each student is very important individual.
