Boy's Hawks Golf Team Returns With Just One Varsity Player

Ankeny High School boy's golf team will start the year with just one returning varsity golfer.

Junior Logan Peterson placed seventh with the Hawks last year, according to a report from the Des Moines Register. And he was the only varsity golfer still with the team after the community opened a second high school this fall.

Last year, the Hawk's finished 10th in their state meet, but the Register doesn't seem too sure that the Hawks will do that again. 

But young players will have a chance to shine.

The sophomores will be looked on to become team leaders, according to the report.
