Centennial Celebrates 'Up and Coming' Homecoming Week

The Ankeny Centennial Jaguars are set to begin their first homecoming celebration this week.

They plan to call it an Up and Coming this year, since there are no alumni who can come home, the Des Moines Register reports.

The Centennial Jaguars will play its homecoming game against Des Moines Hoover at 7 p.m. Friday.

But the games begin Monday night when the school will hold an On the Prowl competition.

A city-wide pep rally is planned for 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Centennial High School.

The school's homecoming dance is set for 8 p.m. Saturday at the high school.
