City Of Ankeny: Ankeny Police Investigating Shots Fired In Residential Neighborhood

02/03/2022 11:07 a.m.

On Wednesday, Feb. 2 at roughly 10:08 p.m., Ankeny Police officers were dispatched to the 800 blk of NW Westwood St. on reports of a drive by shooting.  A resident in the area heard a car drive by and then heard 4-5 noises they believed to be gunshots.  Officers responded to investigate, but were unable to find a suspect vehicle. 

Several residents in the area provided surveillance video to officers which shows a vehicle driving in the area as multiple shots are heard.  Detectives are currently investigating this case and residents in the area are asked to check the exterior of their homes for damage which may have been caused by a fired gun.  If you have any information please contact Det.
