City Of Ankeny: UPDATE: LOCATED SAFE Ankeny Police Seek Assistance Locating Missing 15-Year-Old Boy

**UPDATE** Kyler Vander Ploeg was located safe in Ankeny this afternoon. The Ankeny Police Department would like to thank the public for their help in this matter.   

The Ankeny Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance with locating Kyler Vander Ploeg (15).  Vander Ploeg was reported missing on March 8 and has not  been seen by family members since March 4, however, he has been seen in the Ankeny area as recently as March 9.  No one has been able to make contact Vander Ploeg at the time of this release.  Vander Ploeg is 5’10”, 165 lbs. with black hair and was last seen wearing a gray hoodie.

Anyone with information about Vander Ploeg’s whereabouts is asked to contact Polk County Dispatch at (515) 286-3333, option 5.
