Fire Destroys Northwest Summit Home

Ankeny and area fire fighters battled a blaze in the heat Wednesday.

The Ankeny Fire Department is investigating the cause of a Wednesday afternoon house fire at Northwest Summit Court, according to a report on WHO.TV.

No one was injured in the fire that appeared to begin on the home's back deck.

And no one was home at the time, according to the report.

The owners were camping in Montana and are on their back to Iowa, according to a report in the Des Moines Register.
