Overnight closure next week on SW 3rd Street near SW Linden

WHAT:
SW 3rd Street from roughly ½ mile west of SW Linden Street to roughly ¼ mile east of SW Linden Street will be closed overnight on Thursday, August 29, 2013 to construct the surface course of an asphalt overlay. There will not be a signed detour during this overnight closure. 

In addition, intermittent lane closures on SW 3rd Street will be in effect from Monday, August 26th to Wednesday, August 28th to prepare for the Thursday night construction. Flaggers and alternating traffic will be used for traffic control during the intermittent lane closures. 

Upon completion of the surface course and removal of the street closure, the pavement markings will be applied and the granular shoulder will be constructed. This work is scheduled to occur on Friday, August 30th and also the following week. There may also be intermittent lane closures with flaggers during this time.

SW 3rd Street from roughly ½ mile west of SW Linden Street (near the Ankeny Christian Church) to roughly ¼ mile east of SW Linden Street (near the Lutheran Church of Hope - North Branch).

WHEN:
From 8 p.m., Thursday, August 29 to 6 a.m., Friday, August 30, for the full street closure.
