Steenhoek Seeks Additional Term on Ankeny Council
Ankeny City Council election set for Nov. 5.

Wade Steenhoek intends to seek an additional term on the Ankeny City Council, according to a report in the Des Moines Register.
“It’s been a privilege to serve the citizens of Ankeny for the past four years. I truly believe Ankeny is the best community in the state to live, work and raise a family. It is my goal to make sure the same can be said 20 years from now,” Steenhoek said in a press release as reported by the Register.
Steenhoek is completing his first term on council. He is the entrepreneurship program director at Central College and owns several small businesses, according to a bio available on the City of Ankeny website.

Councilman Dave Kissinger's seat and the Mayor's seat will also be up for election Nov. 5. Anyone interested in running can contact the city clerk at 515-965-6405 or pdemouth@ankenyiowa.gov or the Polk County Electionoffice at (515)286-3247. Mayor Gary Lorenz has also announced that he will run for re-election.
