The first day of school in Ankeny is Thursday, Aug. 15.
All school buildings offer supervision starting at 7:30 a.m. Elementary schools begin class at 7:55 a.m. and sixth and seventh graders start class at 8:30 a.m. and eighth and ninth grade students start classes at 8:20 a.m. Tenth and 12th grade students begin class at 8:25 a.m.
