Walter-Ashby Runs for Open Ankeny City Council Seat

An Ankeny resident has announced via twitter and the Des Moines Register that she will run for Ankeny City Council.

Kerry Walter-Ashby, tweeted that she “Welcomes your support and vote on Nov. 5.” In the Des Moines Register she said that she was very active in the community and volunteered with several organizations and initiatives. She served as the board chair for the Ankeny Miracle League.

“Given my passion for service and community, I am running for the open seat on the Ankeny City Council. Serving on the council would be an exciting opportunity to continue giving back and placing the needs and challenges of the community first,” Walter-Ashby said in a press release.
