Who to Watch During the Ankeny Centennial, Ankeny High Football Season
Jaguar Marshall Clark and Hawk Cole Whitaker are among the preps to watch during the high school football season.

The Des Moines Register said Marshall Clark will be the Ankeny Centennial High School Jaguar to watch in its latest prep football round up.
Clark led the Ankeny High School Hawks last season with 38 receptions and 736 yards. Jackson Dobesh, Cale Anselme, Heath Naylor and Collin Olson were mentioned among other returning starters.
Centennial is in the Class 4-A Division 3 conference. The Hawks are in the Class 4-A Division 2 conference.

Coach Jerry Pezzetti left the Hawks for Centennial High and new coach Brad Zelenovich will take over. Zelenovich told the Des Moines Register that the new Hawks will start with nine juniors and just one of them has varsity experience.
Quarterback Cole Whitaker, a junior, is the one to watch. He will start a new era of Hawk football, the Register says.

The teams are in different divisions, but will face each other in a 7 p.m. game on Friday at Northview Middle School.
