Will Ankeny Hawks, Jaguars Win With Less
The title winning team of last year is split between the district's high schools, what will that mean for Ankeny's football program?

Ankeny high school football teams are struggling to beef up their rosters after the new Ankeny Centennial High School split the former student body in half, the Des Moines Register reports.
The Ankeny High School Hawks were previously the envy of other football programs with 1,900 10th- to 12-graders to draw from and 93 varsity players, the report states.
This fall both high schools have between 50 to 60 varsity players and the returning players from last year's title team have been split in half, the report states.
