Dangerous Cold Continues: 'Skin Can Freeze Within Minutes'
With frigid temperatures continuing through morning, kids across the Cedar Valley get to sleep in Friday.

A two-hour delay has been declared for Cedar Falls and Waterloo Schools, as well as St. Patrick's, Valley Lutheran and Cedar Valley Catholic Schools.
Several preschools and other organizations also announced Friday closures or delays. Find a complete cancellations list at KWWL.
Additionally, a tow ban remains in effect in Black Hawk County.

The delay comes with good cause, as a windchill advisory for Black Hawk County and much of the rest of Northern and Eastern Iowa lasts through noon Friday.

* WIND CHILL VALUES...VALUES WILL FALL THROUGH THE EVENING WITH WIDESPREAD VALUES OF 20 TO 30 BELOW ACROSS THE ENTIRE ADVISORY AREA BY MIDNIGHT. SOME VALUES IN NORTHERN IOWA WILL HOVER FROM 30 TO 35 BELOW NEAR DAYBREAK ON FRIDAY.
* IMPACTS...EXPOSED SKIN WILL FREEZE QUICKLY WITH THESE LOW WIND CHILL VALUES.
Basically, it's dangerously cold out. Better to stay inside, sleep in and possibly drink some hot chocolate.
