And the Next Cedar Falls Superintendent Is... Still Under Consideration
After several hours of deliberation, the Cedar Falls School Board did not come to a decision on who will be the next superintendent.

The Cedar Falls School Board did not pick a new superintendent during deliberations over four finalists today.
The board met in closed session for several hours Tuesday but did not come to a decision. A future meeting will be held to continue the discussion, but a date has not yet been set.
The board is looking for a new superintendent after the board decided not to renew first-year superintendent Mike Wells' contract.

Four finalists interviewed last week for the superintendent job. The candidates were:
- Charles City and Riceville Superintendent Andy Pattee.
- Decatur City Schools Associate Superintendent Thomas Van Soelen.
- Fort Dodge Superintendent Douglas Van Zyl.
- Cedar Falls High School Principal Rich Powers.
