Black Hawk County Sheriff's Office Issues Scam Alert

If you get a call from someone claiming to work for CVS, be wary.

Media release from the Black Hawk County Sheriff's Office:

On Friday February 8, 2013, the Black Hawk County Sheriff's Office received a complaint from a citizen who had received a telephone call from a subject stating that he represented CVS Pharmacy regarding a special promotion where medications could be obtained at half price with a new medical card. 

The caller stated that he needed information from the person regarding the name of their bank and their bank account number.

CVS Pharmacy does not conduct business in this manner nor does any other legitimate business  Persons that are contacted by anyone asking for personal information over the telephone needs to use common sense and not release any type of personal information.  

Anytime that questionable telephone calls or mailings are received they need to be disregarded, and if you wish you may contact law enforcement.
