News outlets are reporting a body was found floating in the Cedar River Tuesday afternoon.

Update 11:35 p.m.:

A body found floating in the Cedar River Tuesday afternoon is a white female, the Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier reported. Her identity has not been released, and an autopsy is scheduled for Thursday at the State Medical Examiners Office in Ankeny.

A body was found floating in the Cedar River today.

The Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier is reporting the body was spotted just after 3 p.m. floating near the 3900 block of Texas Street in Waterloo.

KWWL is reporting the body is an adult.

No other details were immediately available.
