Cedar Falls City Council Update: Leversee Road and Lone Tree Road Reconstruction Project on Agenda

Monday's Cedar Falls City Council agenda includes two public hearings.

The Council will discuss the proposed plans, specifications, form of contract and estimate of cost for the 2013 Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation Project. The second hearing will examine the proposed plans, specifications, form of contract and estimate of cost for the Leversee Road and Lone Tree Road Reconstruction Project.

The Council meets at City Hall at 7 p.m. The meeting can also be viewed live on the CFU channel.

Also on the agenda:

• Pass Ordinance #2789, amending Section 29-107 of the Code of Ordinances by removing property located in the vicinity of Center Street and Lone Tree Road from the A-1 Zoning District and placing the same in the PC-2 Zoning District, upon its third & final consideration.
• Resolution approving a PC-2 Zoning District Development Site Plan for construction of a Dollar General retail store in the vicinity of Center Street and Lone Tree Road. (Contingent upon approval 2 of 3 of Item F-1)
• Pass Ordinance #2790, amending Chapter 7, Building and Building Regulations, of the Code of Ordinances relative to establishing housing cooperative conversion procedures, upon its second consideration.
• Approve the following applications for beer permits & liquor licenses:
  (1) Panchero's Mexican Grill, 6421 University Avenue, Class B beer - renewal.
  (2) The Hydrant Firehouse Grill, 2002 College Street, Class C liquor - renewal.
  (3) Panther Lounge, 210 East 18th Street, Class C liquor - renewal.
  (4) Sakura Japanese Steakhouse & Sushi Bar, 5719 University Avenue, Class C liquor - renewal.
  (5) Gingers, 925 West 22nd Street, Class C liquor & outdoor service - new.
• Resolution setting February 25, 2013 as the date of public hearing on the proposed FY14 Budget for the City of Cedar Falls.
• Resolution setting February 25, 2013 as the date of public hearing on the proposed condemnation of a structure located at 2118 Parrish Street.
• Resolution setting February 25, 2013 as the date of public hearing on the proposed plans, specifications, form of contract & estimate of cost for the 2013 Center Street Bridge Repair Project.
