Invasion of Privacy-Nudity Charges After Cell Phone Found with Video of Women at Tanning Salon

Cedar Falls Police have charged Kevin Kay Robinson, of Tripoli, with two serious misdemeanor counts of invasion of privacy for capturing video of women in a tanning booth.

Cedar Falls Police have arrested a Tripoli man they say used his cell phone to film two nude women, including one who was tanning in an adjoining room in October of 2012.

Kevin Kay Robinson, 30, of 203 7th Ave. SW in Tripoli, was charged with with two serious misdemeanor counts of invasion of privacy-nudity, according to a news release from the Cedar Falls Police Department.

Police say Robinson was observed by "one victim holding a cell phone over a wall while she was tanning in an adjoining room." After examining Robinson's phone, authorities discovered that a second person was video recorded.

The Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier reports the women were filmed in the nude during the incidents at Carribean Tan.

The incidents occurred on Oct. 17 and Oct. 24.

Police say Robinson provided the tanning salon with false names on each occasion.

Waterloo Police Cyber Crimes Unit assisted in the case.
